Shots Fired Near Home of PAP MP Gasparyan
Early this morning gun shots were heard near the home of Prosperous Armenia Party MP Roustam Gasparyan.
At around 4pm, a crowd of police were seen at the natural gas filling station owned by Roustam Gasparyan outside the village of Nalbandyan.
Gasparyan is presently not in Armenia but will be returning shortly.
Janfida village mayor Edik Manoukyan told Hetq that he heard about the gun shots but couldn’t who fired them or why.
“Police were in the village today and spoke to me. They went to all the homes asking questions. They told me the matter would be cleared up by tomorrow.”
Hetq reported elsewhere that the MP is selling all his property in the village of Janfida. Apparently, Gasparyan has been in a tight squeeze since April, when the nephews of Armavir Mayor Ruben Khlghatyan beat up two guys – one being Ara Gasparyan, the son of the MP’s brother.
