The Special Investigative Service (SIS) confirms that on November 15 Silva Hambarzdumyan filed a written report alleging that she was hit by Syunik Regional Governor Surik Khachatryan on the evening of November 14 in the Armenia Marriott Hotel Lobby in Yerevan.

The SIS states that it launched a criminal case that same day and that it has received requests from the press as to who will be called in for questioning.

The SIS argues that disclosing such information now wouldn’t be in the best interest of the ongoing investigation.
