
California Crime Spree Suspect Faces Arraignment on Two Dozen Charges
Artyom Gasparyan, a suspect in a crime spree in California’s Los Angeles County who was apprehended in a police shootout in January, faced arraignment yesterday on more than two dozen charges, including capital murder.
The Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office reports that prosecutors will request that Gasparyan be held without bail.
Gasparyan is a suspect in a crime spree reaching across Los Angeles County, from Burbank to Long Beach and West Hollywood to Panorama City that began last August.
On January 4, police spotted Gasparyan driving in the Sunland area and gave chase.
Gasparyan crashed his car and was shot by officers after allegedly trying to flee. The suspect was later hospitalized.
