
Brother of Former PM Hovik Abrahamyan Gets Two Month Detention
A Yerevan court today issued an order to detain Henrik Abrahamyan, brother of former Armenian Prime Minister Hovik Abrahamyan, for two months.
Henrik Abrahamyan was arrested on August 8 on suspicion of illegal arms procurement and possession.
On August 10, he was formally indicted and charged with “Illegal procurement, transportation or carrying of weapons, ammunition, explosives or explosive devices” (Criminal Code, Article 235).
He faces 2-6 years imprisonment if found guilty.
