
Yenikomshian to be Released from Pretrial Detention
Alek Yenikomshian, an Armenian political activist detained on charges of illegally trafficking and possessing arms and seizing a police building, will be freed pending a trial, this according to the Founding Parliament organization.
A prosecutor looking into the case issued the release decree after finding that Yenikomshian is not a flight risk and can be released.
Yenikomshian, detained on July 27 and arrested soon afterwards, had been giving speeches at demonstrations near the Yerevan police building seized by the armed Sasna Dzrer group on July 17.
