Sasna Dzrer Member Pavel Manukyan Gets 3 Month Pre-Trial Detention

A Yerevan court today handed down a three-month pre-trial detention order for Pavel Manukyan, one of the Sasna Dzrer members who seized a police building in Yerevan on July 17 and continue to occupy it.

Manukyan was wounded and arrested on July 27.

He’s been charged with Article 219 (Occupation of buildings, facilities, means of transportation or communication) of Armenia’s Criminal Code and Article 235 (Illegal procurement, transportation or carrying of weapons, ammunition, explosives or explosive devices.)

Manukyan has been transferred to the Convicts’ Hospital for further medical treatment.
