Prosperous Armenia Party’s (BHK) Sasha Stepanyan won yesterday’s mayoral election in the Syunik village of Darbas, besting Republican Party of Armenia (HHK) candidate Robert Khachatryan by a vote of 309-277.

Khachatryan served as the Darbas mayor for fifteen years. 68% of the village’s 875 eligible voters cast ballots.

In the Syunik community of Akhlatyan, HHK candidate Anastas Babayan won the election for mayor.
