ARF Will Not Vote to Elect Next Parliament Speaker
ARF parliamentary faction head Armen Roustamyan told reporters today that his party would not participate in elections to pick the next president of the National Assembly, noting that the process is a foregone conclusion.
Roustamyan added that neither would the ARF nominate a member from its ranks for the job.
The ARF member also commented positively on the probable election Republican Party faction leader Galust Sahakyan to the post of parliament speaker.
“He’s got experience and the opportunity to settle disagreements that appear irreconcilable. It can led to an atmosphere of consensus building,” Roustamyan told reporters.
