Tigran Karapetyan, head of the Armenian People’s Party, stated today that the ruling government coalition was “artificial” and that the government had no need for it.
“The government has 65 +1 deputies in the parliament. I believe that come the presidential elections in 2012, the coalition will have ceased to exist and if it continues there will be cabinet portfolios for the other parties,” Mr. Karapetyan declared, adding, “The government will not allow the other parties to utilize their resources for the elections.”
