Artsakh Info Headquarters Rebukes Armenian MP for Spewing Hatred Against Artsakh Armenians

The Artsakh Information Headquarters (AIH) in Armenia has sharply rebuked Armenian MP Khachatur Sukiasyan for claiming that Artsakh Armenians failed to fight when Azerbaijan invaded the region in 2023.

The AIH, in a statement released today, referred to remarks Sukiasyan made in an interview yesterday with a media outlet in Yerevan. In the interview,  Sukiasyan also defended a statement made earlier Armenian National Assembly Speaker Alen Simonyan that the people of Artsakh should have stayed and fought.

"With this statement, Sukiasyan has subjected the soldiers and volunteers who heroically resisted the Azerbaijani aggression in September 2023, the relatives of the deceased, missing and captured, to another psychological terror,” the AIH statement reads.

The AIH says Sukiasyan’s remarks “contain elements of hatred and internal division towards the people of Artsakh”

“We must remind you yet again that during the military operations unleashed by Azerbaijan against Artsakh on September 19, 2023, 265 soldiers, 21 civilians, and 14 citizens went missing,” the AIH statement concludes.
