One thousand and seven hundred cameras are being installed in Yerevan public kindergartens for safety reasons according to the city government.

In 2024, there were 162 municipal kindergartens, which provide preschool education to 27,500 children.

The municipality, in a press release, doesn’t say what these safety concerns are or whether there’s been an uptick of safety-related incidents of late.
