
Armenia Sends Fifteen Athletes to Paris Summer Olympics
Fifteen athletes will represent Armenia at the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris.
It will be the country’s eighth consecutive appearance at the Summer Olympics in the post-Soviet era.
Of the fifteen, two are women. Elmira Karapetyan will compete in the women’s 10-meter air pistol shooting competition, and Varsenik Manucharyan will compete in the women’s 100-meter butterfly swimming competition.
Armenia has sent five male wrestlers, three weightlifters, one swimmer, two gymnasts, one boxer, and one runner to the Olympics.
Boxer Davit Chaloyan will carry Armenia’s flag at the opening ceremony today.
