Russia Not Hindering Our Armenia-Azerbaijan Peace Efforts, Says U.S. Official
Russia isn’t hindering U.S. diplomatic efforts to support a peace deal between Armenia and Azerbaijan according to U.S. State Department Spokesperson Matthew Miller.
Miller, responding to a reporter’s question during a January 4 press briefing, said the U.S. will continue its diplomatic work in this direction and hopes to organize a meeting of the Armenian and Azerbaijani foreign ministers in Washington D.C.
A planned meeting of the ministers at the end of 2023 in the U.S. fell through.
