France seeks UN Security Council meeting on Nagorno Karabakh. 

"There is no pretext that justifies such a unilateral action," the French foreign ministry said in a statement.

Armenian PM Nikol Pashinyan and French President Emmanuel Macron had a telephone conversation and discussed the situation in Nagorno-Karabakh.

Both officials emphasized the inadmissibility of using force and the need to use international mechanisms for de-escalation.
