Armenian Defense Ministry Ends Contract with Jordanian Company
The Armenian Defense Ministry has unilaterally terminated an August 2021 contract with JADARA Equipment & Defence Systems, a Jordanian company that develops and produces short and medium range anti-tank systems.
The ministry, in a statement released on October 11, claims the company never supplied the “items” noted in the contract. The statement, signed by Deputy Defense Minister Karen Brutyan, doesn’t specify what those items are.
The ministry also demands that JADARA pay Armenia a fine of AMD 23 million (US$58,000).
JADARA recently partnered with Azerbaijan’s Ministry of Defense to develop a new anti-tank guided missile (ATGM) system and unveiled the Terminator-FM at the Azerbaijan International Defence Exhibition (ADEX) in Baku, in September.
