Azerbaijan Troops on Outskirts of Jermuk, Says Armenian Armed Forces Official
Azerbaijani military units have advanced to a position four and a half kilometers from the Armenian town of Jermuk, this according to Head of the Armenian Armed Forces General Staff Edward Asryan.
Asryan reported the news to accredited ambassadors serving in Armenia who are now in Jermuk to see the aftermath of Azerbaijani attacks earlier this week.
"The adversary entered the sovereign territory of Armenia along a front 8.5 kilometers wide and up to 7.5 kilometers deep," said Asryan.
He said Armenian forces are monitoring the movement of these Azerbaijani units and have encircled some of them.
