Pashinyan: Meeting with Aliyev Extensive, but Difficult
Armenian PM Nikol Pashinyan, at today’s government cabinet session, said that his discussion yesterday in Brussels with Azerbaijani President Ilham was “extensive but difficult”.
“The Armenian government has adopted a peace agenda, and we need determination to implement that agenda. We must all understand that it is not easy, it is not simple, and the possible solutions are not obvious. We must continue to work consistently,” Pashinyan said according to a statement released by his office.
Pashinyan said that the people in Armenia want a lasting and comprehensive peace in the region and promised to provide details on yesterday’s meeting to the public when necessary.
Yesterday's meeting was mediated by European Council President Charles Michel.
