Armenian Health Minister Wants Parliament to Investigate "Hooligan Behavior" of opposition MPs
Armenian Minister of Health Anahit Avanesyan wants the National Assembly to investigate an incident that occurred yesterday when three opposition MPs entered her office and threw photos showing the bodies of 2020 Karabakh war dead.
Avanesyan told reporters today that such “hooligan behavior” by MPs cannot be tolerated and that there are venues for MPs to voice their opinions properly.
The minister chided the opposition MPs for staging a “vulgar show”.
"The principles of democracy in Armenia have been observed since 2018 There are many protocols on it every year. Armenia is improving its position as a democracy year by year, but democracy does not mean illegality. On the contrary, democracy means direct rule of law." said Avanesyan.
