Lebanese Woman Freed from Azerbaijani Jail: Returns to Beirut
Maral Najarian, a Lebanese woman who moved to Artsakh and was taken prisoner by Azerbaijani forces on November 10, 2020, has returned to Beirut through the efforts of the International Red Cross Committee.
Ani Najarian, Maral’s sister, who is now in Yerevan, told Hetq that Ani was welcomed by friends and family at Beirut’s airport.
“God heard our prayer. I hope all our brothers will return. I wish all the families patience. Congratulations to all those who helped us," said Ani Najarian.
Viken Euljekian, another Lebanese Armenian who planned to resettle in Artsakh, was also taken prisoner with Ani. He remains captive in Azerbaijan.
