Armenia to Draft Nicotine Regulations for Eurasian Economic Commission
Armenia will be responsible for drafting technical regulations for the European Economic Commission (EEC) for products containing nicotine.
The EEC recently decided that there was the need for to draft a set of regulations for nicotine-containing products that are not considered tobacco products and are not included in existing technical regulations.
These include, for example, cartridges for e-cigarettes or vapers, the liquids needed to refill them, and chewing or inhaling products that contain nicotine.
The EEC says there’s a need to establish common mandatory requirements for nicotine-containing products circulating in the EEU, which in turn will reduce the risks to citizens' health.
The Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC) is the permanent regulatory body of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU), of which Armenia is a member.
