
Former Police Chief Appointed Armenian Deputy Defense Minister
Newly appointed Armenian Deputy Minister of Defense Arman Sargsyan told reporters today in Yerevan that he will do his utmost to serve the country responsibly in the post-war period.
Armenian PM Nikol Pashinyan appointed Sargsyan, the country's former police chief, to the post on January 12.
Sargsyan was relieved of his post as head of police on June 8, 2020.
The post of deputy defense minister had been vacant for the past two months.
