No Communication with Armenian Units in Hin Tagher and Khtsaberd Villages, Says Artsakh Defense Ministry
The Artsakh Defense Ministry reports that it has lost communication with several of its units in the Hadrut area of the Hin Tagher and Khtsaberd villages.
The ministry reports that Russian peacekeepers have been called in to see whether the Armenian servicemen have been taken prisoner by Azerbaijani military forces.
Last week, Armenia accused Azerbaijan of launching an assault against the two villages in Artsakh’s southern Hadrut region that was mostly occupied by Azerbaijani forces during the recent war.
Armenia’s Defense Ministry reported that six Armenian soldiers were wounded in the fighting and that Russian peacekeepers were dispatched to the area in question.
These two villages, ana a few others, remained under Armenian control when the November 9 ceasefire took effect.
