Azerbaijani Military Shells Tavush Aygepar Village
Hetq journalists on the scene report that the Azerbaijani military has shelled the village of Aygepar in Armenia’s northeastern Tavush Province.
Residents of the village’s lower neighborhood have been temporarily evacuated to safer areas.
Seven homes were damaged in the shelling. Firefighters have been dispatched to the area to extinguish any blazes.
Tavush Provincial Governor Hayk Chobanyan and Armenian Apostolic Church Tavush Diocese Primate Archbishop Bagrat Galstyan are now in Aygepar.
Earlier in the day, police barred the Hetq team from entering the town of Berd in Tavush. The reporters, however, were allowed into Aygepar.
