
Yerevan Judge Accepts Motion to Detain Gagik Tsarukyan
Judge Robert Papoyan has initialed a motion filed by the National Security Service to detain Prosperous Armenia Party (BHK) head Gagik Tsarukyan.
Chief of Staff of Yerevan’s Court of General Jurisdiction Armen Aslanyan confirmed the news to Hetq today.
Yesterday, Armenia’s National Assembly voted in favor of stripping Tsarukyan, accused of vote buying during the 2017 parliamentary election, of his parliamentary immunity and permitting his detention.
