
Armenia: Economic Activity Index Shrinks 17.2% in April
Armenia’s Economic Activity Index (EAI) dipped 17.2% in April, when compared to the same period last year, according to the country’s Statistical Committee.
The construction sector took the biggest hit, contracting 51%.
Domestic trade volume decreased 33.1%
The services sector decreased 15.9%
Manufacturing decreased by 8.6%
In March of this year, compared to the same month of the previous year, Armenia's Economic Activity Index (EAI) decreased by 4.9%, this according to the country’s Statistical Committee.
Between January and April of this year, when compared to the same period last year, the country’s EAI shrunk by 1.7%
