
Yerevan's "My Way" Autism Center Marks International Day of Persons with Disabilities
On December 3, the International Day of Persons with Disabilities, staffers from the Armenian Human Rights Defender's Office visited the "My Way” Educational, Rehabilitation and Vocational Day Care Center in Yerevan that provides a variety of services for children and teenagers with autism.
The government funded center, opened in 2014, provides speech, art, music, occupational therapy programs, among others.
The center started with eight children attending classes. 180 attend the center today.
That number is expected to increase to 200 next year.
