Sargsyan was arrested in connection with the 2008 attack on the house of Armen Avetisyan, a former head of the Armenian State Customs Committee.
Gor Abrahamyan, an adviser to Armenia’s Prosecutor General, reported the news Facebook page.
Sargsyan’s extradition to Armenia is now in the works.
