
Yerevan Court Upholds Motion to Issue Arrest Warrant for Levon Sargsyan
The Yerevan City Court of First Instance today upheld a motion of the Investigative Committee (IC) to issue an arrest warrant for Levon Sargsyan, brother of former Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan.
Levon Sargsyan has been indicted in a criminal case under investigation by the IC over alleged abuses committed during the construction of the North-South Highway in Armenia.
He is charged under Article 190 (laundering of large quantities of money obtained by money laundering) and Article 311 (using real or purported influence).
Levon Sargsyan’s whereabouts are unknown and a search to find him is underway.
